My husband’s birthday present has made me want to file for divorce.

It may not be easy to enter your 40s, but it’s even harder when you remember how your body has changed. When our reader opened her birthday present, this is what took place. She stopped being joyful and happy and began to think about splitting up with her husband.

A woman told us a story.

“I just turned 40, and to be honest, I’m not in the best shape. After giving birth, all the work I put into getting in shape was for nothing.

My husband says he loves the way I look, but he looks at other women on the street all the time. Plus, the gift he gave me for my birthday changed my mind. I wasn’t glad I turned 40, but my husband made me feel even worse. When he gave it to me, I opened the box and saw weight loss pills, anti-aging creams, dumbbells, and even a scale!

“What is that?!” I asked my husband. Taking me to the mirror, he said, “I want you to look your best.” “To be honest, you look a little worn out,” he said when I asked if he thought I was ugly now.

I understand that I don’t look great, but he could have given me a friendly present instead! At this point, it looks like he wants to shape my body into the ideal shape he has imagined. I want to get a divorce from him, but I also think I might be overreacting.”
