A birthday is always a special day for us but there are going to be some that are more special than others. Jennifer Aniston is somebody who understands this, and when she turned 50, she wanted her 50th birthday to be special as well.

Fortunately, Brad Pitt gave the opportunity for her to have the best birthday present she could possibly have. They had spent a lot of time together and had one of the most celebrated weddings in Hollywood in 2000. Eventually, they drifted apart and separated peacefully.

And sharing her thoughts about Brad, she said: “I know that we have something special, especially in all this chaos. In our nutty, brilliant, wonderful, hard business, it’s nice to have somebody who’s anchored and knows you, really knows all of you.”
By 2005, Jennifer and Brad were ready to part ways. They said that the splint wasn’t gossip water for tabloids but the romantic part of their relationship had come to a conclusion. That didn’t stop them for having deep love and respect for each other.

After they separated, Brad Pitt begin appearing publicly with Angelina Jolie. This added a lot of fuel to the fire as to what may have been going on behind the scenes. Jennifer Aniston had even hope that they would reconnect, saying that she hoped they could be friends again someday.

Brad Pitt decided that not all was lost so he attended her 50th birthday celebration. It seemed as if they were very happy to see each other, but Jennifer felt the need to confirm the status of their relationship. She said: “Brad and I are buddies; we’re friends. And we speak, and there’s no oddness at all, except for everyone that probably watched it and wanted there to be or assumed there to be.”

Something else that Brad Pitt did on her birthday was to give a gesture toward her that is certainly above and beyond. He spent $79 million to repurchase the mansion in Beverly Hills that they once called home.

Not only was there a lot of monetary value behind the mansion, there was a lot of sentimental value attached to it as well. After they separated, Brad kept ownership of the house and she regretted not buying him out of the dream home.

This was a part of the divorce that really pain her and she made that well known. The $79 million mansion gift may appear extravagant, but for somebody like Brad Pitt who is worth an estimated 400 million, it is simply something generous.
