After reports of undergoing plastic surgery and an “unhinged rant” at Netflix’s Roast of Tom Brady, Ben Affleck was nowhere to be seen when his wife Jennifer Lopez walked the red carpet at this year’s Met Gala.
Lopez, who served as one of this year’s co-chairs, attended the event solo prompting rumors of Affleck’s whereabouts.
Viewers took to X claiming the actor was “hard launching a new face,” while others commented he was “fresh from a face lift.”

As some remained fixated on Affleck’s looks, others couldn’t turn away from his “unhinged rant.”
“Fans have your back. You guys out there talking s**t, all right, behind your f***king keyboard, that doesn’t make you a fan. That makes you a b***h,” the 51-year-old actor said.
“I can’t think of a more f**ked up, dysfunctional, horrible working system designed to perpetually make people feel awful,” he said of making athletes read mean comments despite giving 100 percent on the field.
It wasn’t until more than five minutes into his speech that Affleck took a breath and said, “I don’t think I’ll ever get this chance again. I’m probably never going to work again, actually, after tonight.”
His speech did not go over well on social media.
“Ben Affleck was totally unhinged and not funny at the Brady roast,” wrote one viewer.
The following day Affleck failed to make an appearance alongside his wife at the annual Met Gala. Many speculated it was due to his actions and looks from the previous night.
But it turns out the actor had a legitimate reason for skipping the event.
While Lopez was attending fashion’s biggest night out, Affleck was in Los Angeles filming The Accountant 2, which has been in production since March.
According to TMZ, not only was the actor never planning on attending the event, but it’s also why he appeared clean-shaven at Brady’s roast.
