NEW: Letter Allegedly Exonerating Trump In Stormy Daniels Case Resurfaces

Former President Donald J. Trump has reignited controversy by sharing a letter from Stormy Daniels, the adult film actress, dating back to 2018.

In the letter, Daniels denies having had an affair with Trump, refuting previous reports of hush money payments. Trump shared the letter on Truth Social, emphasizing its significance and questioning whether the media would report on it.

The Stormy Daniels saga began in 2016 when it was revealed that Trump’s then-lawyer, Michael Cohen, had paid Daniels $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement. Trump has consistently denied the affair and any wrongdoing related to the payment, which has been under legal scrutiny.

The resurfacing of the letter comes amidst ongoing investigations into Trump’s alleged payment of hush money to Daniels. Trump’s supporters see it as vindication for the former president, while critics remain skeptical.

Meanwhile, Trump faces legal challenges, including 34 charges brought forward by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. These charges accuse Trump of falsifying business records linked to hush money payments made to Daniels. The trial date has been set for April 15th, despite Trump’s efforts to delay it further.

The legal issues surrounding the payments revolve around whether they constituted illegal campaign contributions. Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, pleaded guilty to charges related to these payments in 2018. However, Trump himself was not charged as part of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
