Young woman receives backlash for stating she’s “too pretty” to work the rest of her life. See it below!

The online community was stirred up when social media influencer Lucy Welcher shared a TikTok post suggesting that she’s “too pretty” for the daily grind of work.

Welcher, known for her content featuring luxury and lifestyle, faced backlash from netizens who criticized her as “shallow” and “entitled” for implying that employment is only for those who aren’t conventionally attractive.

In her original TikTok post on November 8, 2022, Welcher expressed her disdain for the idea of working for the rest of her life, stating, “I’m too pretty for that!” This remark sparked outrage among viewers, with many condemning her attitude as lazy and entitled.

Despite deleting the controversial clip in response to the backlash, Welcher later addressed the situation, stating that she felt “slandered” across social media for her remarks. She clarified that her initial post was intended as a joke, but it was misinterpreted by many.

In a subsequent TikTok video, Welcher humorously remade the original clip, repeating the same lines. This time, however, she received more support from online users, with many understanding the humor behind her message.

While Welcher’s initial comment drew criticism for its perceived shallowness, her subsequent explanation and remake garnered a mix of reactions, with some defending her humor and others still critical of her attitude towards work and appearance.
