But that was rectified on Friday by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) when he announced that his lieutenant governor, Jon Husted, will be appointed by him to take Vance’s place. “There were many people who I considered very qualified to serve in the U.S. Senate to represent the State of Ohio, but I came to the conclusion that the best person to serve is a person who has been close to me for the last six years – a person who I work with almost daily – and that is Lt. Governor Jon Husted,” the governor said in a press release. “I have worked with him, I know he is knowledgeable, I know his heart, I know what he cares about, and I know his skills. All of that tells me he is the right person for the job.” “I know Ohio well, and I will fight for Ohio as a U.S. senator,” Husted added.”I look forward to working with President Trump, Vice President Vance, and the Republican majority who have an America First agenda to fight inflation, stop illegal immigration, and advance conservative values.” “My time here at the Statehouse has been a true joy, but representing Ohio in the U.S. Senate is an amazing opportunity,” he noted further. “It is something that an adopted kid who grew up on County Road J in Montpelier, Ohio, could have never imagined.”

It would be a really good idea for Democrats, starting with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, to take a civics class before getting into positions of power.

The president, vice president, and a host of Democrats celebrated on Friday the ratification of the “28th Amendment” to the Constitution, the Equal Rights Amendment or ERA, but there is just one minor issue. The Amendment has, in fact, not been ratified, according to several constitutional experts. What’s more, the president does not have the authority to simply declare an amendment ratified.
“I have supported the Equal Rights Amendment for more than 50 years, and I have long been clear that no one should be discriminated against based on their sex. We, as a nation, must affirm and protect women’s full equality once and for all,” the president said in a press release posted to the official White House page.

“On January 27, 2020, the Commonwealth of Virginia became the 38th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. The American Bar Association (ABA) has recognized that the Equal Rights Amendment has cleared all necessary hurdles to be formally added to the Constitution as the 28th Amendment. I agree with the ABA and with leading legal constitutional scholars that the Equal Rights Amendment has become part of our Constitution,” he said.

“It is long past time to recognize the will of the American people. In keeping with my oath and duty to Constitution and country, I affirm what I believe and what three-fourths of the states have ratified: the 28th Amendment is the law of the land, guaranteeing all Americans equal rights and protections under the law regardless of their sex,” he said.

Identifying small glass tubes that contain three tiny ball bearings can be intriguing, especially if you’ve come across one without context. These objects are often components of specialized devices rather than standalone items. In many cases, they are associated with tilt switches, check valves, or vibration sensors, where the small metal balls move inside the tube to open or close an electrical circuit or regulate flow. The precise function depends on how the tube is sealed and connected within a system. Observing details like size, markings, and whether the tube is wired or enclosed in a larger mechanism can help determine its exact purpose.
