My in-laws let us live in their second house, but after my husband died, they’ve turned on me. I found love again and I’m pregnant with my new partner’s child. He will be moving in, but my
mother-in-law is furious. My mother-in-law is demanding we move out ‘His ghost will haunt you. You’re replacing him too soon.

I refused. But then, they took matters into their own hands. I understand that they’re grieving, but it’s been four years. I have a right to move on with my life. I’m not trying to replace my husband, but I deserve to be happy. I should add that my in-laws have never been particularly kind to me. I’m not sure why they let us live in their second home in the first place, but suspect it was just a way to keep an eve on me. NISE, would I be in the wrong for refusing to leave?
