My spouse was unwilling to spend our first night together after marriage.

Lana’s wedding night took a shocking turn when she found out that her groom had plans that she didn’t know about. When she was angry and had doubts about her choices, she asked for help. This is a stark reminder that life can throw us curveballs that make us rethink everything, even when we’re having the best day.

“After the reception, my groom and I went to our hotel room for our first night together as a married couple. He remembered he had left something in the hall downstairs, so he went to get it. When he didn’t come back after 30 minutes, I went looking for him and found him talking to Dylan, his best friend from childhood who now lives and works in Australia. No one had seen Dylan in ten years.”

My groom said he was sorry and that he meant to call me but left his phone in our room because he hadn’t had a chance to talk to his best friend yet. He then said that Dylan was flying back the next morning and he wasn’t sure when they would see each other again. To my surprise, he asked if he could spend the night hanging out with Dylan and invited me to join.

I felt cheated that he would choose his friend over our special night, so I left him at the hotel by himself and went home, thinking about ending our marriage. My husband says he doesn’t get why I’m mad because we’ve spent every night together for two years, but he doesn’t know when he’ll see his best friend again.

Thank you,
Lana”
