My mother-in-law had my DNA tested in secret and found out a shocking truth.

Many people unfortunately have a troubling relationship with their mother-in-law. But in today’s story from one woman, her MIL’s invasion of privacy had a serious motive behind it. The woman was left completed stunned by it all and is now in search of advice on how to move forward.

Here’s what she had to say:

“Hey,

To be honest, I’m not sure how to handle the situation that has completely turned my world upside down, which is why I’m writing you today.

My mother-in-law recently told me something very important. She told me that she had secretly set up a test to see my DNA, and what she found shocked me beyond my wildest dreams.

The DNA test showed that I married my cousin without knowing it. You read that right. My husband and I didn’t know that we were related by blood. It would be a huge understatement to say that this news was shocking.

Of course, I told my parents about this, and what they told me made things even worse. It turns out that the man I thought was my father as a child isn’t really my dad. The reason I was born was because my mother had an affair. However, things get even more tricky.

I think my MIL knew something was wrong all along, and now I can see why. You see, her husband’s brother has been looking for years for his long-lost little girl. He’s been troubled by the loss ever since the woman he dated for a short time ran away before she gave birth.

It looks like my MIL put two and two together and thought I might be the missing puzzle piece. She was right, which was sad.

Right now, I’m dealing with a storm of feelings. My mother betrayed me, and finding out that I’m related to my husband broke my heart. This family secret is too heavy for me to handle.

How can I even begin to get through this? The most important question is: how do I move on from here?

We would really appreciate any advice or wise words you could give us.

Thank you for listening,
Adriana”
