Fox News anchor Bret Baier has provided a positive update on Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Defense.
During a segment on Fox News, Baier said there’s been “growing optimism” with Trump’s team that Hegseth’s nomination is moving in the “right direction” with Republican senators.
I think there is this growing optimism with the President-elect and his team that they are making progress and that Pete Hegseth is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel,” Baier said.
Hegseth has been on Capitol Hill meeting with Republican senators to get their support as he fights claims of sexual misconduct and drinking too much. Hegseth has said he did nothing wrong.
