Vice President Kamala Harris admitted at a CNN town hall that she isn’t always quick with answers, particularly on specific policy issues, because she prefers to research topics thoroughly before responding.
She described herself as “kind of a nerd” and acknowledged that some may see this as a weakness, especially when immediate answers are expected. Harris also mentioned that she sometimes relies too much on her team for decision-making, but she values having a smart team to provide diverse perspectives.
This admission comes as polls show former President Donald Trump gaining ground, with predictions suggesting he could win key swing states in the 2024 election. Nate Silver’s model shows Trump with a 24.4% chance of winning all seven crucial battleground states, while Harris has only a 15.6% chance of doing the same. The data indicates that Harris would win if she clinched all swing states except Arizona and Georgia, where Trump currently leads.
