Kind Stories That Warm the Heart

When you have arguments with your mother-in-law and problems at work, you might start to lose faith in kindness.

But kindness is all around us, and sometimes a stranger can do something so nice that it makes the world seem brighter.

The Story:
I had my son when I was 17. His father and I split up, and I was left on my own without support from my parents. Times were tough, and eventually, I ran out of food.
I didn’t know what to do, so I went to my friends to ask for money, holding my 1-year-old son. They didn’t help me.

I ended up walking and crying, not knowing where to turn. Then a car stopped, and a man said, “Get in, I’ll give you a ride.”

I was hesitant at first, but it was raining, so I decided to go with him. With tears in my eyes, I shared my story with him.

He looked at me and then gave me $100. I was able to pay for daycare and find a job. We didn’t become rich, but I’m very thankful to that man. By the way, my son is now 30.
