“I Ended the Date Because She Was 45 Minutes Late, Unsure If It Was Right”

Dating can be tricky, like trying to find your way in the dark. Every decision matters, and it’s hard to know what’s right. In this story, being late was a big problem on a first date.

Here’s what happened:
I had a date with a woman I met online. We agreed to meet for coffee at 2 pm. I got there on time. But at 2:10, she texted me asking if I was at the cafe. I said yes, and she replied that she was still at home but would leave soon and be there in 20 minutes.
Basically, she was waiting to see if I showed up before bothering to leave home. It bothered me. I took the chance that she might not show up and got there on time. Should I have done that?
I finished my coffee and left at 2:30 because she still wasn’t there. Then, at 2:45, she texted me asking where I was. I replied, saying I left at 2:30 when she wasn’t there as promised. She sent me some mean texts, saying I did everything wrong and should have told her I was leaving.

Do women really expect men to wait 45 minutes for them to arrive late? It seemed like she was playing a game or testing me. Either way, she failed my test. I’d like to hear from women about this.
