At 56, Pamela Anderson’s makeup for the Met Gala sparks furious debate đŽ “More like a woman in her mid 60s,” one person wrote. See the pics below đ
If you ask me, celebrities live rather unenviable lives in the main. Sure, most of them have succeeded in climbing to the top of a ladder millions of people dream of, and in doing so usually acquire riches, fame, and adoration, but there are also plenty of drawbacks to living your life in the public eye.
For starters, I donât know if Iâd be able to cope with the sheer amount of criticism most A-listers seem to get. Everyoneâs a critic, or so they say, and even when theyâre doing something right, thereâs bound to be a whole bunch of people waiting in the wings to tell them theyâre doing wrong.

Just imagine trying to navigate life when every move you make, every piece of clothing you decide to wear, is dissected and discussed by people youâve never met. Newspapers are published, gossip spreads, and before long you find yourself analyzed by the masses simply for doing things that you want to do.
Celebrities like Pamela Anderson â that is to say those who have existed in the limelight for a prolonged period of time â are well versed in this reality, but that isnât to suggest that theyâre immune to the hurtful things people can say from time to time.
Never is this more prevalent than in the wake of high-profile events like the Met Gala, where the majority of attendees stretch their creative limits to don outfits that range from the bold to the bizarre.
Now, fans picking apart someoneâs wardrobe choices for a red carpet is nothing new, but we like to think its bad form to go out of your way to put down someoneâs actual look. Not the dress or suit they wore, not the shoes or tie they decided to don, but their hair, their skin, their choice of makeup.
If youâre a fan of Pamela Andersonâs, youâll be well aware that she made her Met Gala debut earlier this week, veering from her recent no-makeup look to sport a slight touch up that didnât go unnoticed.
The 56-year-old showcased a beautiful cream-colored dress designed by Oscar de la Renta for the event, embellished by diamond strings and crystals, and reportedly boasting close to 200 carats from Pandora.
Itâs no exaggeration to say she looked phenomenal on the night, rubbing shoulders with a whoâs who of the entertainment industryâs elite. And her makeup? Well, the face Pamela showed the world was one delicately touched up with simple golden eye shadow, pink blush, and glossy lipstick.
And yet there were still people ready to criticize her appearance.
âThis ainât it, Pam. Could have done so much better here, especially with the hair. Not a good look at all,â one person wrote.
âShe looks older than her age. More like a woman in her mid 60s,â said another.
She is glowing but wish she had fuller brows. Itâs so distracting and very drag-Queen makeup,â wrote a third.
A fourth added: âSeems she didnât wear much makeup and didnât have time to finish her hair?â
âHer hair looks like she was sleeping on bad pillows!!â said a fifth.
