I gave my mother-in-law a visiting schedule, and the result made me regret my life.

We all love the thought of our homes being peaceful and calm places. Carrie, on the other hand, is under a lot of stress because her mother-in-law keeps coming over for long periods of time without warning. The young mother came up with a plan to solve the problem, but her husband made things worse by accident. Now, Carrie looked for help online.

This is the letter from Carrie:

“My wife’s mother shows up at any time and stays as late as she wants. Some days she even sleeps on the couch.” The woman says, “My son’s house is my house.” I’m sick and tired of this. My kids need to go to bed early and get up early for school, and her sudden visits are making our lives hard. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands yesterday and made a schedule for her with times when she could visit.

As I gave her the paper, my husband looked at me and said, “I have a better idea.” Seeing his mom, he asked, “Mom, what if you moved in with us for good?” Since your dad died, you’ve been living alone in your house. The kids would love to have you over.”

My husband keeps saying that his idea will make things better for everyone, but I think it will make things worse. What should I do? I have no idea what to do.

Regards, Carrie”
